We are writing this letter of recommendation on Jon and Colin Capek owner and operators of Capek's Landscaping, St. Clair Shores, MI. We have known Jon and Colin since fall of 2008 and have used there lawn and landscaping services since spring of 2009. In Spring of 2010 wehired Jon and Colin to landscape and sod are backyard that was in dire need of attention. They were able to clear out the entire backyard of weeds, clay, stone and dead grass without much hassle. The entire backyard job consisted of a paver brick patio, sprinkler system, sod installation, mulch and stone placement. Jon or Colin were always available while the job was underway and always answered any questions we had. After two years are backyard is still gorgeous and we enjoy playing back there every chance we get. As farther indication of our satisfaction, we have continued to engage there company for landscaping and lawn services. Every spring Jon and Colin spread new mulch and weed out all of our landscaping around the house. They mow and trim our lawn on a weekly basis throughout the summer. Also in Spring 2011 Jon and Colin re-landscaped our front yard flower beds after some bushes we had planted were over grown. We are both impressed and satisfied with Jon and Colin's Work. We admire and appreciate there honesty and believe them to be persons of integrity who have taken that quality into there professional lives. We would not hesitate to recommend Capek's Landscaping to anyone that is looking for landscaping work or lawn services.

This is my letter of recommendation for Jon Capek of Capek's Landscaping. Jon as well as all of Capek's has done several projects for us over the past couple of years. Including but not limited to landscape installs, sod, grading, pavers, sprinklers, tree trimming, and general landscape services. Jon has always performed with the upmost professionalism. His jobs are completed on time in a clean and efficient manner. He also is a pleasure to communicate with during the projects, if anything ever arises. Out of the 20 or so contractors that work for us, he is definitely at the top of the list.
Jon at Capek's landscaping is very knowledgeable and provides a multitude of ideas for making the outside of your home look beautiful. He is very reasonable in price and thoroughly describes the quality of the products you're choosing. He also walks you through the steps he is going to take to complete the task/job at hand. Also, most people want to be there to observe the work from start to finish, but I trusted Jon to get the job done accurately while I was at work during the day. There is also a quick turnaround time on quotes and his team completed the job in record time. Capek's landscaping also helped me in the winter months with snowplowing. When my snowblower broke, I called Jon and was able to get his team out to my house that day to finish the job. I highly recommend Capek's landscaping!
We have used Capek’s for many jobs large to small. They take the time to listen to us and work with us on design / cost. They have created amazing front landscapes and turned our backyard from a pit to a livable space. They also have done our weekly lawn maintenance for years.

Thank you for the terrific landscaping work. I was very impressed with your expertise in correctly measuring the amount of topsoil needed for my yard. You were on time, very efficient and did and excellent job of grading-tamping it down with each load period.The street and driveway were thoroughly cleaned. You and your helpers were so nice. Not many contractors that I have dealt with have the ability to relate to customers with the level of maturity and wisdom that I was shown. Some of the contractors wanted to leave the existing sod and push it down to the base of my sea wall to use as part of the fill, or they wanted to use half fill dirt. Your quote was still less and knowing I am on a fixed income you gave me a discount to. The other reason I hired you was because you are known in the neighborhood and grew up here. I wanted a local company who cares about the community they live in. Everyone from my block and on the next one "those across the canal" have all stopped me to say how wonderful my backyard looks. I will highly recommend you for future jobs!
We had the opportunity to use Capek Landscaping twice. The initial job was for removal of weeds and rock and replacement of sod. The second time was for removal of an old tree, replanting a new one and replacement of mulch. Consulted with them in order to choose a proper tree replacement and the owner, John, sent me photos so I could make an informed decision. They were professional, responded for a bid in a timely manner, showed up on time to perform the work and cleaned up after completion. Bids are competitive. Plan to use them again in the spring for additional work on our home. Highly recommend.

I was referred to Capek's Landscaping through a family member when I was looking for snow removal and lawn service for my parents. My parents and myself are very satisfied with both services. We have been having flooding problems in our yard, so I called Jon Capek for an estimate. We were impressed with the care he and his brother took in measuring and figuring the grading of the yard. We had a couple estimates before, and the other companies wanted to use 20 yards of fill dirt and 10 yards of topsoil. Capek's explained that fill dirt will not drain very well, an gave us a quote for 30 yards of topsoil, and were still $200 less than the other companies. We also contracted for sod. The most important thing is, they did a wonderful job. When they were done it looked great, and EVERYTHING was cleaned up, including the street where the semi trucks dumped the dirt. The guys at Capek's are courteous, conscientious and dependable. My Parents and myself highly recommend them for any landscaping needs you may have.
